On Saturday 22nd June 2019 we ran our first Windrush Community Event.
In the lead up to the Windrush Day Celebration, we were visited by Lord Bourne on Wednesday 19th June. He spoke to the centre users and the local TV broadcasted clips on the evening news.

During the Windrush Day Celebration, the ACCA Community Garden was officially opened by the Mayor of the West Midlands Mr Andy Street. The garden has a number growing beds for adults and children and also has fruit trees, picnic tables, benches and a grassed area (with an additional paved area inside it).
The Windrush Day Celebration and Community Event was very well attended, with stalls, entertainment, Steel Pan music being played, and a Windrush Exhibition in the dining room.
