“Tenacity and Resilience: The Legacy of Our Story” is an intergenerational storytelling and empowerment event celebrating the achievements, contributions and strength of women within the Walsall Community.
Women from diverse backgrounds will share personal stories of perseverance, leadership, migration journeys, overcoming adversity, community service, and professional achievement.
These stories will be told to students from Emmanuel School to inspire confidence, ambition and pride in community heritage.
The event will include:
– Guest Speakers – short personal storytelling sessions
– A facilitated Q&A session between students and speakers
– A reflective activity where students write or draw key lessons learned about resilience
– A “Legacy Wall” where students record what strength and tenacity mean to them
– Collection of feedback from participants
The event will highlight how women’s lived experiences form a powerful legacy that continues to shape and strengthen future generations.
The #GiveToGain theme will be embedded by encouraging women to “give” their stories and wisdom to empower the next generation.
